I had the absolute joy of working with Stephanie & Ben for over a year & a half. They wanted a summery bohemian wedding with modern & romantic touches & that is exactly what they got. And that color palette….I’ll be swooning over it for a while.
Some of my favorite design elements included:
1. Bringing in a custom dance floor wrap with water color & their monogram, it truly brightened up the space and made a huge impact.
2. Their margarita wall!!! I mean come on....mini margaritas in the CUTEST mini tequila bottles. I also was pretty proud of the slogan that I came up with for the top of their margarita wall, “First comes Marriage, Then Comes Margs”. It was a huge hit! The guests talked about it all night!
3. We only used long tables for guest seating on their floor plan. It was such a wow-factor to see all of their tables with glimmering candles all in a row.
4. Their place settings. My new favorite thing is to have a layered look on the table. This means that I prefer that we incorporate at least 2 types of plates at each place setting. For Stephanie & Ben, we used a scalloped dinner plate & salad plate, they cost $1 each, so for $2 we were able to achieve a layered look on the tables cape which elevated it much more than a $8 charger plate would have, in my opinion!
5. Their CAKE! Haley from By Cenza nailed the design, as always. She created a textured cake with sugar florals & dried pampas grass. It was too pretty to eat, literally. The entire cake was a dummy cake, except the slice that they cut during their cake cutting. This was a creative way for them to have a cake with an impactful design while saving on costs since they have other desserts being served as well. But don’t worry, their guests did still get to have their cake and eat it too. The cake for guests was served in the cutest jars, with enough servings for seventy.
6. The bridesmaids dresses that were so chic & were the perfect shade of lavender.
Stephanie & Ben beamed from ear to ear all day long and it was a wonderful reminder of my why. I do what I do so that my sweet couples can soak up being engaged without a worry, have the weddings they always dreamed of, & soak up every moment on their wedding day. Their wedding day truly was the best day ever & they deserved every bit of it.
